Would the Cleveland have been better off now if we had gotten Melo in the 03 draft?

Just like Lebron, Melo did not get his team to an NBA Finals. However, at least Denver got good young talent for him in return like Gallanari, Felton, and Chandler because Melo unlike Lebron was upfront and honest that he did not want to play in Denver. Lebron on the other hand lied to the management and left Cleveland with no young players to build around.
