Help with fake plug piercings?

Hello. I Have been wanting fake plug earrings for awhile now, and I need some help from someone who knows more about them or has them. So, I have my ears pierced the normal way, and the plugs I was looking at go threw the normal piercing hole. The earring's tip looks really thick, so I was confused on how it would fit threw my ear without stretching or harming it. Does it hurt? And, can it strech your ear even if it is fake? Also, I want to get them in a store and not online, but they are like 14 dollars at Hot Topic and I have no clue where else I can get a pair without spending so much, if possible. (I don't have a Spencer's in my mall) And, does anyone know good size to start with? Thanks in advance!
